Situated onsite in Martinsville, VA, this position is designed for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work 37.5 hours per week throughout the contract school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with multiple needs in adaptive and inclusion classrooms.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning requirements.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and accommodations to promote student engagement and success.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia Special Education Teacher certification for K-12.
- Experience working with students with multiple needs in both adaptive and inclusion settings.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, policies, and best practices.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
