Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Resource Teacher supporting elementary students. This full-time position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference each day, working in a collaborative, onsite environment. The assignment is set to begin in late August 2026, running through early June 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification for the state of Minnesota (Tier 3 or 4 required)
  • Experience providing academic and behavioral support for elementary students with diverse needs
  • Ability to create, modify, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Strong organizational skills for managing student caseloads and documentation
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive classroom environments
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and interventions tailored to each students IEP goals
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff to promote student success
  • Maintain thorough records of student progress and comply with district and state documentation requirements
  • Support students social, emotional, and behavioral development within the school environment
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and IEP meetings
  • Participate in professional development opportunities as available
