Make a meaningful impact working with elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive K5 resource setting. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with other dedicated professionals and help foster academic and personal growth among students who need specialized support.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Teaching License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Prior experience in an elementary special education environment is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to create engaging, inclusive lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning styles and abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students (K5) in a resource setting
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers to support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to best meet learners needs
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Engage with families to keep them informed and involved in their child's educational journey
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
