This full-time contract opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support a Mild/Moderate Special Day Class serving kindergarten and 1st-grade students. The position is located in an elementary school setting in Long Beach, CA, with an immediate start through the end of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with mild to moderate disabilities
• Provide direct, on-site instruction and support to students in a Special Day Class setting
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress and success
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and participate in team meetings
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential (SPED/Education Specialist) required
• Experience teaching mild to moderate disabilities in a Special Day Class environment
• Strong knowledge of best practices in special education and individualized instruction
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
