An exciting opportunity awaits for a passionate Early Childhood Special Education Teacher ready to make a meaningful difference in young learners lives. Located near the Denver metro area, this full-time, on-site contract position supports an early childhood center with a preschool caseload, providing essential educational services to children with disabilities, ages birth through 8. The assignment spans the entire school year, from July 31, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing, teaching, and supporting students with varied abilities using both in-class and pull-out models
- Designing and implementing individualized educational plans based on standardized and general education assessments in literacy and math
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team during dedicated planning time each Friday
- Managing a maximum caseload of 15 preschool-aged children
- Conducting eligibility assessments and contributing to ongoing program evaluation
- Ensuring compliance with all state and district guidelines for special education
Ideal candidates will offer:
- A minimum of a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid credentials in Early Childhood Special Education (grades and age levels as specified: Birth-8, P3-2, P3-K)
- Experience or strong interest in working with preschool-aged children in a public school setting
- Demonstrated understanding of both standardized eligibility assessments and programming assessments
- Commitment to collaboration and communication within an educational team
