Job Description

This position seeks an experienced Special Education Teacher with a focus on Math instruction and case management for high school students. The role involves working onsite in a Philadelphia-area high school for the upcoming academic year, from late August through mid-June. The position requires managing a caseload of special education students, delivering tailored math instruction, and providing comprehensive case management services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized math instruction aligned with individual education plans (IEPs) for high school students with special needs
  • Manage IEP caseloads including documentation, progress monitoring, and communication with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Collaborate with related service providers and support staff to implement accommodations and strategies that enhance student success
  • Maintain compliance with special education laws and district policies
  • Participate in meetings, professional development, and school events as assigned

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure in Special Education
  • Demonstrated experience teaching math to high school students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple student caseloads and paperwork
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work effectively onsite within a structured school environment

Location and Schedule:

  • Philadelphia, PA area high school setting
  • Full-time contract position for the 2025-2026 school year
  • Approximately 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday

Working onsite offers direct engagement with students and faculty, fostering strong instructional relationships and student support systems. Support personnel availability will be clarified prior to assignment.
