Qualifications & Requirements:

• Current North Carolina EC (Exceptional Children) Teaching Certification required.
• Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IEP (Individualized Education Program) development and implementation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, families, and fellow staff.
• Ability to adapt lessons and strategies to meet a wide range of student needs.
• Organizational skills to manage documentation, assessments, and progress monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to elementary and middle school students in a resource and/or inclusion setting.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create individualized learning plans.
• Write, update, and maintain IEPs while ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Conduct assessments to identify student strengths, needs, and progress.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and participation.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for support at home.
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and ongoing training to stay current with best practices.
