Job Description

This contract role, based near Methuen, MA, offers a full-time Monday through Friday schedule supporting an engaging and diverse group of learners. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Moderate to Severe Special Education Teaching license required
  • Previous experience teaching students with a wide range of abilities, preferably K-8
  • Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction
  • Strong classroom management and effective communication skills
  • Adaptable, compassionate, and committed to fostering an inclusive learning space

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver individualized and small group instruction aligned with IEP goals for students in kindergarten through 8th grade
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with families and school teams
  • Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and administration to provide support and accommodations
  • Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with families and staff
  • Create a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages student growth, independence, and engagement
