A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting in St. Paul, MN. This contract position offers 37.5 hours per week over five days and includes a caseload of approximately eight students. The role requires a strong commitment to supporting students with special needs across elementary, middle, and high school levels.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Minnesota teaching license with at least one year of experience in special education
- Experience working with diverse K-12 age groups, including elementary, middle, and high school students
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt instruction to meet student needs
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and educational staff
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support tailored to students with disabilities
- Manage caseloads of up to eight students, ensuring compliance with state and federal special education requirements
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous student success
