A full school year contract opportunity is available for Special Education Teachers at an elementary school setting in the Kansas City, MO area. These full-time roles involve supporting students with diverse learning needs to foster academic growth and social development within behavior and self-contained classrooms.

Two openings are currently available:

• Elementary Behavior Classroom (1 position)
• K-12 Self-Contained Classroom, moderate to severe needs (1 position)

Key qualifications and requirements:

• Valid Missouri state Special Education teaching license
• Experience working with students with behavioral challenges and/or moderate to severe disabilities
• Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage families effectively

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Providing differentiated instruction to promote academic and social skills
• Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting interventions accordingly
• Maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
