Job Description
This full-time Special Education Teacher position supports K-12 students within a contract role running from ASAP through the end of the current school year. Located onsite in Jackson, MI, this opportunity requires a Michigan state license in Special Education.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to diverse student needs
- Collaborating with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success
- Monitoring student progress and adapting instructional strategies as needed
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participating in team meetings and professional development activities
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Special Education Teacher license is mandatory
- Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs across K-12 grade levels
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and maintain organized documentation
