Job Description

A Special Education Teacher position is available in Wichita Falls, TX, serving students in a middle school setting. This contract role spans the school year (CSY) and offers an opportunity to support K-12 students with diverse learning needs in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to create inclusive classroom experiences.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt instruction to meet unique learning requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates and support.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Texas Special Education Teacher license.
  • Experience teaching special education students at the middle school level is preferred.
  • Ability to manage classrooms with varying learning needs effectively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
