This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in an engaging educational setting. The role focuses on delivering specialized instruction tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of students requiring additional support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Adapt general curriculum to accommodate students with disabilities and promote inclusive learning
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching methods to optimize growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure cohesive student support
• Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that fosters student engagement and independence

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching licensure in the applicable state
• Experience working with middle school-aged students
• Strong understanding of special education laws, IEP development, and differentiated instruction
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage classroom behavior and create an inclusive learning atmosphere
