Job Description

This position offers a dynamic opportunity to work with middle school students in a specialized educational setting designed to meet significant support needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The role requires full-time engagement Monday through Friday, providing instructional leadership and direct support in a structured LINKS program environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the teacher of record for a caseload of 6 middle school students
  • Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) effectively
  • Collaborate closely with two paraprofessionals and dedicated one-on-one staff assigned to individual students
  • Provide tailored instruction and continuous progress monitoring
  • Lead classroom management and foster an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere
  • Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams to support student growth

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education (SPED) Massachusetts teaching license
  • Experience working with students with significant support needs, preferably including ASD
  • Strong collaborative skills to work with support staff and family members
  • Commitment to individualized instruction and student success in inclusive settings
