Job Description

This opportunity is for an experienced Special Education professional dedicated to managing and overseeing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in a dynamic K-12 school environment in Miami, FL. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, collaborating closely with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, and providing substitute teaching support as needed throughout the current school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
  • Serve as the primary liaison between educators, families, and district personnel to support student success
  • Ensure adherence to state and federal special education regulations
  • Provide substitute teaching support to maintain classroom continuity
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive educational environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
  • Valid Florida Educator Certificate in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) or eligibility to obtain certification
  • Completion of the Department of Children & Family Child Care Training
  • Minimum of 3 years direct experience working with students with disabilities, ideally in leadership or coordinator roles
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required

Location: Miami, FL
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Duration: Current School Year (Direct Hire)
