Experience an opportunity to make a difference as a Special Education Teacher providing invaluable support to students in a welcoming school environment near Hodges, SC. This contract position offers the chance to work onsite, with flexibility in hours35 to 40 per weektailored to your availability.
Youll play a vital role supporting K-12 students with a diverse caseload and settings, including Resource, Self Contained, Inclusion, and 1:1 support, across seven available positions. Enjoy a collaborative atmosphere where you can foster growth and empower students to reach their full potential.
What will help you excel in this position:
- Valid South Carolina Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience working in K-12 settings (preferred but not required)
- Flexibility to support students in varied instructional environments, including Resource Rooms, Inclusion, Self-Contained, and 1:1 assignments
- Passion for creating supportive, engaging, and inclusive educational experiences
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students needs
- Provide instruction and support in Resource, Self-Contained, Inclusion, and 1:1 formats
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student support
- Track student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
