Job Description
A school district in Wichita Falls, TX, is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students with diverse learning needs. This is a contract position for the current school year (CSY) at a middle school, with 37.5 hours per week over 5 days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special education needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to provide appropriate accommodations and modifications.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Special Education Teacher license required.
- Experience working with middle school or K-12 populations preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to student success and individualized instruction.
