This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support middle school students within a contract position from ASAP through June 2026. The role is full-time, requiring 32 to 37.5 hours per week, focused on providing specialized instruction and behavioral support to students, particularly those with autism.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with middle school-age students
- Demonstrated expertise in behavior management, specifically with autism spectrum disorders
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively in an inclusive educational setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with staff, families, and related service providers
Location:
- Middle School setting, Hanover, NH area
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students needs
- Use behavioral strategies to promote positive social interaction and academic engagement
- Collaborate with general education staff and specialists to enhance student learning
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular updates on student performance and behavior
