What were looking for:

• Valid Virginia Special Education license (Adapted Curriculum PreK12 and/or Early Childhood Special Education BirthAge 5)
• Experience or strong interest in either early childhood or K-12 special education settings
• Ability to cultivate inclusive and engaging classrooms for students with diverse learning needs
• Strong communication, patience, and adaptability
• Dedication to collaboration with school staff and families

In this role, you will:

• Provide individualized instruction to students according to their IEPs and abilities
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that support diverse learning styles
• Foster a positive, nurturing classroom environment
• Regularly track progress and contribute to collaborative IEP meetings
• Share input with administration and team members to ensure student success
• Rely on school-provided onboarding and training for a smooth transition
