Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Connecticut Special Education certification required
  • Experience or strong interest in working with middle school-aged students (1116 years)
  • Demonstrated commitment to individualized instruction and student advocacy
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with student needs and state requirements
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored for each students learning style
  • Track and assess student growth and communicate progress to families and team members
  • Foster an inclusive, compassionate classroom atmosphere where every student is valued
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, paraprofessionals, and support staff for holistic student support
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and school meetings as needed
