Job Description

A contracted Special Education Teacher position is available for the current school year in Grove City, OH, serving an elementary school setting. This role is designed for educators holding a valid Ohio Intervention Specialist (IS) certification, experienced in managing self-contained classrooms with elementary-aged students. The classroom may involve some behavioral challenges, though they are non-intensive in nature.

Location: Grove City, OH
Duration: Contract through End of School Year (6/5/2026)
Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:15 AM to 3:40 PM
Interview Format: Virtual via Zoom

Responsibilities

Deliver individualized special education instruction tailored to elementary students' needs in a self-contained classroom.
Manage classroom dynamics while supporting students with mild behavioral issues.
Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience

Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist (IS) teaching certification required.
Experience working with elementary-aged children in special education settings.
Ability to handle mild behavioral challenges with patience and professionalism.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, students, and parents.
Commitment to fostering student growth and adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
