An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to serve K-12 students in a full-time, onsite role located in Greenville, NC. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and involves providing critical educational support to students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students with special education needs across K-12 grade levels
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that align with state standards and student goals
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to promote academic growth and social development
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and compliance with regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina State Special Educator license is required
- Proven experience working with K-12 special education students is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, educational strategies, and behavior management techniques
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to varying student needs
