Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid state certification in Special Education (elementary level required)
  • Behavior Endorsement is highly preferred
  • Strong background in classroom management and behavior intervention strategies
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary school setting
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for all students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction for students with diverse learning needs
  • Design and execute behavioral interventions within classroom settings
  • Create and monitor IEPs, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, behavioral specialists, and school administrators
  • Maintain thorough documentation of student progress, assessments, and interventions
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and professional development
