This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher position located in White Settlement, TX, designed for educators passionate about supporting K-12 students with special needs. This contract role offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week across five days, providing a consistent and rewarding workweek in a dynamic school environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Special Education (SPED) teaching license
- Experience working with K-12 students in special education
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and adaptive teaching strategies
- Effective communication skills with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of K-12 students with disabilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with Texas education standards
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods to optimize learning outcomes
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to comply with school and legal requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure continuity of care and education
