This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher supporting an 8th-grade middle school caseload of 24 students representing all disabilities. The position is a contracted role for the current school year, providing inclusive special education services and supporting individualized education program (IEP) implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instructional support to middle school students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive classroom setting
• Manage and maintain a caseload of 24 students with all disabilities, ensuring compliance with IEP goals and accommodations
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
• Write and update IEPs, with a portion of the caseloads IEPs already conferenced
• Track student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Participate in required meetings and professional development sessions

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with middle school students across a range of disabilities
• Skill in developing and implementing effective, individualized instructional plans
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with students, educators, and families
• Familiarity with inclusive education practices and legal requirements for special education services

Location and Hours:

• Position based in Goshen, IN
• Monday through Friday, contract hours approximately 8:35 a.m. to 4:10 p.m.
• School day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• 37.5 hours per week
