A rewarding opportunity awaits dedicated Special Education Teachers looking to make a difference in the lives of students. Available contract positions begin this August and run throughout the full school year, with roles based onsite across several schools serving grades K-8.

Openings include both a self-contained classroom for K-2 students and multiple inclusion roles at elementary and middle school levels, allowing professionals to apply their expertise in varied settings. Teachers will provide direct instruction and develop individualized education plans, supporting students academic growth and inclusion.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid, active Virginia Special Education Teacher Certification required
• Experience with self-contained and/or inclusion models is a strong advantage
• Comfortable working onsite for the full assignment
• Ability to manage caseloads in elementary and middle school environments
• Commitment to individualized student support and collaboration with faculty

What Youll Do:

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
• Deliver direct instruction and accommodations
• Track progress and communicate with families and staff
• Participate in IEP meetings; adapt plans as needed
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Contract Details:

• Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week
• School year contract (August June)
• Four positions available: 1 self-contained K-2; 3 inclusion (2 elementary, 1 middle school)
• Interview process conducted via Zoom for flexibility
• Please note: fingerprinting required prior to start. No formal training provided; experience preferred
