Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Arizona Special Education Certification required
- Current IVP Fingerprint Card
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, especially in middle school or resource settings, is highly valued
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach in working with students, families, and faculty
- Ability to create and adapt lesson plans according to each student's unique learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and resource support according to IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and classroom activities for inclusion
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and regularly communicate updates to families and staff
- Develop and implement behavior management plans when necessary
- Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where every student can achieve their potential
- Comply with state and federal regulations regarding special education
