Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with students with a range of learning abilities and disabilities
• Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Effective classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for fostering growth and inclusion in all learners
• Ability to collaborate successfully with colleagues, families, and other support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored instruction to small groups or individual students in a designated resource setting
• Adapt curriculum and modify teaching strategies to address unique learning needs
• Work closely with general education teachers to support student inclusion and integration
• Assess student progress regularly, collect data, and maintain accurate records
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing insight and recommendations
• Encourage self-advocacy and confidence in students by building on their strengths
• Communicate proactively with parents and caregivers regarding student goals and development
