Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with students with varying exceptionalities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to develop and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Competency with assistive technology and differentiated teaching strategies
- Passion for creating inclusive and supportive classroom environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality resource support and instruction for students with special needs within inclusive and resource classroom settings
- Implement and track individualized education plans to meet each students goals
- Partner with general education teachers and support staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are utilized effectively
- Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with families
- Engage in professional development to remain current with best practices in special education
- Foster a positive learning environment that celebrates diversity and promotes student independence
