A full-time Special Education Teacher is needed to support an Elementary Autism classroom serving both verbal and non-verbal students. This opportunity involves managing a caseload within a supportive educational environment for the current school year on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with autism and other special needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state regulations
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to promote student progress
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior
• Utilize varied instructional strategies to engage verbal and non-verbal learners

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Texas Special Education teaching license is required
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably within autism classrooms
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs

Location: Friona, Texas (Elementary School setting)

Hours and Duration:

• Full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week
• Contract extends through the current school year
