An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher at an elementary school in Frederick, MD, for the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis. This role involves working closely with students who require individualized education plans, providing tailored instructional support, and fostering an inclusive learning environment to help students achieve their academic and developmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student learning and inclusion
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student performance and communications
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification or licensure in Special Education teaching
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet various learning styles and needs
