Job Description
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a middle school located in Franklin, NH. This contract role spans from ASAP through June 2026, offering 32 to 37.5 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have specific experience working with students on the autism spectrum and managing behavior interventions within a middle school caseload.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Demonstrated expertise working with students with autism
- Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills
- Experience managing a middle school caseload
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide instruction and support to students with disabilities, with a focus on autism-related behavioral challenges
- Monitor and document student progress towards IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Utilize data to inform instruction and behavioral interventions
