A rewarding opportunity is available for a certified Intervention Specialist to support students with multiple disabilities, autism, and complex needs in a K-12 school setting located in Fairborn, OH. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and involves working in a self-contained classroom environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering tailored instruction and support to a caseload of 6-8 students across elementary and high school levels
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet each students unique learning goals
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, families, and other educators to ensure comprehensive student support
- Managing classroom behavior and fostering an inclusive, positive learning atmosphere
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Intervention Specialist
- Experience teaching students with multiple disabilities, autism, and complex needs preferred
- Strong knowledge of best practices for special education, instructional strategies, and behavior management
- Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with all stakeholders
Work schedule is approximately 35-40 hours per week, allowing for focused support and consistent interaction with students and staff.
