An elementary special education teacher position is available in Elgin, IL, offering a full-time, onsite contract role for the academic year. This opportunity involves working with 4th and 5th grade students in a resource classroom setting, providing tailored educational support to meet their unique learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate student abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student success
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Special Education License (IL Sp. Ed. License)
- Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience working within elementary special education preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Work Details:
- Location: Elgin, IL
- Setting: Elementary school, onsite
- Schedule: Full-time, 35 to 37.5 hours per week
- Contract Length: Current School Year (CSY)
