This position offers an opportunity to serve K-12 students in a special education setting within a vibrant school community in St. Paul, MN. The role focuses on delivering tailored educational support to a caseload of approximately eight students, fostering meaningful growth and development. The contract runs for the school year with full-time hours, providing stability and a supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to enhance student learning experiences
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies to meet diverse learning goals
- Maintain compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and school policies in special education services
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Minnesota teaching license with authorization in special education
- Minimum of one year teaching experience in special education settings
- Experience working across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels is valued
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
Work Schedule and Environment:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Manage a caseload of approximately eight special education students
