Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in elementary-aged students within a self-contained classroom setting. This position is based onsite at a school in Dublin, OH, and runs on a contract basis for the current school year, starting as soon as possible and ending June 5, 2026. Work hours are 35 per week, from 9:15 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.

Responsibilities include supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with some non-intense behavioral challenges. The role demands creating and implementing individualized education plans in alignment with Ohio special education standards, fostering a positive learning environment, and collaborating with school staff and families to promote student success.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Ohio Initial Specialist (IS) certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with elementary-age students in a self-contained special education classroom.
  • Ability to manage mild behavioral challenges effectively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to student-centered instruction and inclusive education practices.
