Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Special Education Teacher license (CI, LD, or EI accepted)
- Experience providing instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs, particularly within the middle school age group
- Skilled in developing IEPs, differentiated instruction, and collaborating with general education staff
- Strong communication skills with students, families, and team members
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary educator within a middle school resource room
- Design and implement individualized learning plans to meet each student's unique needs
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages growth and self-advocacy
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff for optimal student outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
