Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to work within an elementary school in Dover, NH. This contract role supports an inclusive classroom environment, providing dedicated instruction to a caseload of up to 20 students with individualized education programs (IEPs). The position offers a flexible schedule of 37.5 hours per week or the option to work three days weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to meet the individual needs of elementary students with disabilities.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere encouraging student growth.
  • Collaborate with paraeducators and related support staff for effective student supervision and assistance.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with state regulations and district guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Valid New Hampshire Special Education (SPED) teaching license.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings.
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
