Job Description
A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available at an elementary school in Des Plaines, IL. This contract position spans the current school year and focuses on providing dedicated support within a resource classroom for 4th and 5th grade students.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), collaborating with general education teachers, assessing student progress, and adapting instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs. The role requires a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports student growth and academic achievement.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Illinois Special Education License (Sp. Ed. License)
- Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably 4th and 5th grade
- Ability to deliver instruction in a resource classroom setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
