A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available to support middle school students in grades 6 through 8 within a semi self-contained classroom environment. This contract role is ideal for educators with experience in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual Disabilities (ID), providing case management and direct instruction to a small caseload.

Location: Derry, NH
Job Type: Contract (CSY)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Grade Levels: Middle School (6th-8th)
Caseload: 5 students with ASD and ID
Support: Two paraeducators assigned to classroom

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with ASD and ID in a semi self-contained classroom setting
• Manage a caseload of five students, including case management and individualized education plan (IEP) compliance
• Collaborate with paraeducators to implement effective educational strategies
• Utilize existing curriculum and resources, requiring minimal lesson planning
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with middle school students with ASD and ID
• Strong organizational and case management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with classroom support staff
