Job Description

This contract position is ideal for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-8 students in a Denver, CO school setting through the current school year. The role offers an opportunity to deliver individualized instruction that addresses each student's unique learning profile and disability within a resource room, inclusion classroom, or pullout setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specially designed instruction aligned with individual IEP goals to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborate closely with school staff to implement effective instructional strategies, accommodations, and supports.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed records and actively participate in IEP meetings as a vital member of the student support team.
  • Engage regularly in professional development focused on special education curriculum, instructional best practices, and data tracking tools.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid state teaching license or meet requirements for alternative certification in Special Education.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment and supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Previous experience working with K-8 students in special education settings is preferred.
