Located just outside Dearborn, MI, this position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference during the 2026-2027 school year. Working 35 hours per week at a single school, youll serve a diverse and engaging caseload, including one elementary SPARK/resource program and two elementary cognitive-impaired classrooms. The district is committed to ensuring a supportive environmentclassroom supervision and assistance will be provided as needed.
What youll bring:
- Current Michigan Special Education Teacher certification (MI SPED)
- Experience with elementary-age special education students
- Familiarity with resource and cognitive impairment programs preferred
- Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive environment for all learners
- Ability to collaborate effectively with support staff, therapists, and school teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Your contributions:
- Deliver personalized, evidence-based instruction to meet individual IEP goals
- Develop lesson plans tailored to meet a range of academic, behavioral, and social needs
- Collaborate with general educators and para-professionals to maximize student success
- Monitor student progress, document growth, and adjust strategies as needed
- Foster a safe, engaging, and productive classroom setting
- Communicate regularly with families and attend IEP meetings
