Job Description

A Special Education Teacher position is available for a K-12 school located in Dearborn, MI. This contract role is for the current school year (CSY) and involves working with students across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities.
Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and families to support student learning.
Monitor and document student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters student growth and development.

Qualifications:

Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
Experience working with K-12 students with diverse learning needs.
Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Patience, adaptability, and a passion for supporting students with special needs.
