A K-12 special education teaching opportunity is available in Dayton, OH. This contract position is for the current school year and involves managing a self-contained classroom dedicated to students with multiple disabilities, autism, and complex needs. The role requires working with a caseload of 6-8 students, with openings at both the elementary and high school levels.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Intervention Specialist certification is required
• Experience in special education settings preferred
• Ability to manage a classroom of students with diverse and complex learning needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively collaborate with staff and families

Location:

• Dayton, Ohio

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Provide direct instruction and support to 6-8 students in a self-contained classroom
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
• Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student care
