Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to elementary students with exceptional needs in both inclusive and specialized classroom settings
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success and social-emotional growth
- Organize and manage classroom activities, adapting materials to suit individual learning abilities
- Track progress and maintain detailed records for reporting and compliance
- Foster a positive, supportive, and respectful classroom community
- Participate in professional meetings, training, and curriculum development initiatives
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State certification in Special Education
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in inclusive settings
