A rewarding opportunity is available for a passionate Intervention Specialist skilled in Special Education to support Kindergarten and 1st grade students with Autism during the 2025-2026 school year. This position is based in Columbus, OH, offering a travel assignment that combines meaningful work with diverse experiences in an educational setting.
Position Details:
- Assignment: 2025-2026 school year
- Start Date: ASAP through May 2026
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Setting: Resource room classroom
- Student Focus: Kindergarten and 1st grade students with Autism
- Support: Classroom includes two instructional assistants
- Environment: Behaviors may vary
- Interview Process: Available both in person and virtually
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored for students with Autism
- Collaborate with instructional assistants to create a supportive learning environment
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Manage classroom behaviors effectively and promote positive outcomes
- Communicate regularly with families and school staff regarding student progress

- Proven ability to manage diverse behaviors in a resource room setting
