This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Teacher serving elementary students in a supportive school environment in Coldwater, MI. This contract role offers the chance to apply your expertise in special education to make a meaningful impact on young learners development throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide tailored instruction and support to meet diverse learning requirements in an elementary classroom setting
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to enhance student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and local regulations regarding special education
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Special Education Teaching License
- Endorsement in Cognitively Impaired (CI) or Autism Intervention (AI) required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education is highly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Location and Schedule:
- Position is onsite in Coldwater, MI
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
