Interviewing special education teachers - Chicago Heights, IL

Sunbelt iscurrently seeking passionate and dedicated special education teachers in the Chicago Heights, ILarea.The ideal candidates will have experience working with diverse learners and will possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers and other support staff to ensure students' needs are met
  • Use evidence-based practices to facilitate academic, social, and emotional growth for students with disabilities
  • Provide direct instruction and support in small group and individual settings
  • Monitor and track student progress to ensure effective interventions

Requirements:

  • REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in special education or related field
  • REQUIRED: Illinois (LBS1)State Teaching License with Special Education endorsement
  • At least 2 years of experience working with students with disabilities
  • Familiarity with special education laws and regulations
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
