Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Valid North Carolina Special Education (SPED) License
  • Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Proficiency in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to creating a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Must provide a copy of academic transcripts

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tailored educational plans to meet individual student needs
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Maintain accurate student records and documentation as required
  • Create a structured and nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and IEP meetings as needed
