This opportunity calls for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve elementary students in Centreville, MI. The role is full-time (35 hours per week) and contract-based for the current school year. The position requires a Michigan Special Education (SPED) license and either a Cognitive Impairment (CI) or Autism (AI) Endorsement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instructional services tailored to the individual needs of elementary students with disabilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary to meet learning goals
- Participate in meetings, assessments, and ongoing professional development relevant to special education
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Special Education teaching license
- Endorsement in Cognitive Impairment (CI) or Autism (AI)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings preferred
